Now that Poppy is more or less finished (close enough!) it’s time to start something new. Something that has been waiting, calling to me.

I’ve swatched for my Venezia, by Eunny Jang from Interweave Knits , Winter 2006. The swatch isn’t photographing very well – the pink in the patterning looks much better in person!
I’m completely changing the colour palette, and as this is the first time I’ve tried to pick my own colours for a Fair Isle project, I’m hoping it’ll work out well.
But just to make my knitting life difficult, this arrived today.

The temptation may drive me insane!
Your swatch is BEAUTIFUL!!!
I’m hoping to order Precious soon & understand the temptation….
venezia is a great project. your swatch looks nice so far.
gawdeous and just amazing Donna
I love the colours you have picked – what is the yarn?
Oh this’ll be a fun knit to watch!
Love the swatch!
Your swatch is beautiful – great colors!
That swatch itself looks so pretty. I’m sure the pullover will be gorgeous!! Don’t think I’ll ever attempt colourwork as it looks too complicated!!!
Btw, where did you buy that Precious from?
Yes, do tell us where you got your Precious!!
I’m not great at choosing colours, so I applaud you for doing it!!
Yay! Venezia! I wore mine to work yesterday. I’m making reasonable progress on Autumn Rose too – must take photos one day….
Great colours (in your scheme no less!)
I am so tempted by precious.. and the swatch is utterl gorgeous
I keep meaning to ask, is there a pattern for your pouches – they look great and I seem to have some fabric and they’d be so useful…
will email you!”
That swatch looks absolutely gorgeous and I can’t wait for the day I’m good enough to try something like that.
I love Venezia! It’s on my “if I get brave enough to do” list.
Great choice of pattern. I didn’t realise that you had to do a swatch in fair isle. But the swatch looks great & the colors are perfect! I will never attempt something like this.
