So I’m coming to that time of year when the knitting is supposed to take a backseat so that I can spend inordinate amounts of time hunched over the sewing machine, churning out sparkly dance costumes for little girls.
I shouldn’t complain too much, it does a nice job of supporting my yarn habit. Before I start the costumes though, I had to do something about poor naked Roxie.
May I present Em’s new sidekick?

I can’t wait to see what the teacher comes up with next.
Actually, yes I can.
ooh…ever so slightly creepy looking!
Oh, can I have one of those dresses but in red??
That colour is soo nice. Lovely job.
That model is rather freaky, however just the sheer fact that you made it give you some Kudos
She lives!! LOL 🙂
I have a friend who has been a Ballet Mum forever (her daughter now runs a ballet school in Canberra), and she has always sewn costumes for ballet school concerts – she used to do the all-nighters, and sleep for 20 minute cat naps in the middle of her sewing room chaos. Quite nuts (in a nice way!).
Aw, that is pretty! Is that a really big doll or a little couch?
I love the gorgeous blue color of the dress. Roxie is so fancy!
Glad to see Roxie has clothes. She would still freak me out if I walked in a room and she was sitting there. The clothes help a little, though. Good job. I am sure she will look great wrapped up in the shawl.
She looks ready to dance the night away.
New model for the kniting is she.
She looks fantastic. Some of myu friends thought she was a Rock n Roll dancer and alive.
Cool doll. She dresses better than me. But I kinda would like to know what Em is suppose to do with it? Practice ballroom dancing? Is there a recital routine in which all the girls dance with a life-size doll? Just curious…..
