We’ve just booked airfares to the USA.
We’ll arrive in New York on December 21. We’ll be in Washington on December 29. We’ll be in Las Vegas on December 30. We’ll then go to Los Angeles on January 1. Then Honolulu on January 9, before we come home on January 18.
The amount of money I just spent makes me feel a little sick. In a good way.
Wow, what a trip! I hope you get to see some of the country outside of the cities. I’m really jealous of the the Honolulu portion of the trip.
I am a short subway ride from DC I live in Alexandria, VA I would love to hook up with you in D.C. if you do not already have plans! Show you around a bit :-)! Let me know…Cheers!
I echo Stacy’s comments. If you have a spare moment to visit in DC, I’d love to grab a cup of tea.
But even if you don’t, let me know if you want suggestions for restaurants, etc.
And congrats on booking such a fun-sounding trip! I’m so jealous!
you know Canada is just a stones throw away… lol..
Have a great trip!!
I’ll wave at you as you fly by! I’ll probably be at the in-laws in southern IN for the holidays. You’ll have a lot of fun (assuming you aren’t constantly jet-lagged)!
Gee its a big trip. I dont think of long flights how do i cope minus the knitting. need a good few books for me then.
All the yarn you can get better pack light.
So close but so far! You’d have more fun in SLC than Vegas;-) It sounds like a wonderful trip.
Wow, sounds like a major yarn-store hop. Have fun.
Sounds like a good time! When you go to LA, are you going to stay in that area or travel around So Cal a little bit?
Hey, I’m also just outside Washington DC — would love to hook up with you!
Wow, now that is a vacation!
wow, that’s a nice trip – especially the hawaii portion! you gotta come to our aloha knitters meeting on thursday evenings….let us know the details as the date gets closer, we’d love to meet up with you!
Washington DC or Washington State?
Too bad you couldn’t make your way around to Texas (I wouldn’t either if I could go those places).
Oh! Side trip to Boston?!?!?
Ny, huh? Gracie and I would love a meetup.
Maybe I should celebrate my birthday in Hawaii this year?
Yay!! New York – and Vegas, and Washington, and LA, and Hawaii – how fabulous!!! Can’t wait to hear all about it and see all the yarn purchases!!!
Wow, that is going to be a great trip. I live in the states and I only have been to NY.
You will have a great time, worth every cent.

Yay! What a wonderful holiday. You will have to start a countdown!
Wow, that sounds so exciting! The cost will fade with time, while the experience and memories will stay with you forever. Totally worth it 😀

Ohhh that sounds like the ticket. Make sure you get quotes on container shipping, it may be cheaper than your excess luggage full of yarn!
That sounds like lots of fun! 🙂
I live in NYC; if you’d like recommendations on what to see/do/eat and where to yarn shop, let me know.
Wow, that’s going to be quite a trip! I can’t believe you’ll spend NY Eve in Vegas – I heard it’s CRAZY!!! And of course, Hawaii will be awesome. I’m going to the Big Island in a few weeks and can’t wait. Very different from Honolulu of course. Los Angeles will be nice and warm that time of year. We usually go down to LA to visit my inlaws for Christmas. Where in LA will you be? This year, I’m not sure what our plans our since our baby will be born around Thanksgiving. Let me know once you’ve firmed up plans and maybe we can meet up!
Remember your walking shoes. Great things to see in Washington DC. One of my fav cities to visit.
