In news totally unrelated to knitting in any way, I banged up the car this morning.

In the doctors carpark, where I’ve parked hundreds of times, the brick steps jumped out behind me.
Yes, I am an idiot.

  1. Oh no, and the damage is worse than what I did a week ago. You are not stupid, you are not at the doctors every day.
I backed into my garage, as I have done for the past FIVE years and hit my husband’s car. Damaged his bumper as well as the side and back of my car. We now have two cars to repair. My car has lots of grey paint and his car has lots of black.
There must be something in the air!

  2. Oh, no! How dare those steps jump out at you! At least that’s not so blatant you can’t help but notice it. My car, bright red that it is, gets regularly “decorated” by an insane female cardinal who attacks herself in the side-view mirrors, leaving white bird droppings all down both sides, and the mirrors a bit smeared, too. And in another week or two, the pine pollen will start, making my red car orange (the white truck yellow, and the blue Bronco greenish), probably still with those lovely white (and yellow?) streaks going down the sides. Sigh….

  3. Ouch! I feel so bad for you; I did that recently too and it is an awful feeling when you hear The Noise. I am so sorry for you and your poor car.
Twinkie must be so excited that the Easter bunny is on the way — can she leave a carrot out for him or no?
Your little bear is adorable. 🙂 Hope the fair is a great success!!!

  4. uh oh must be something about dr’s carparks as today we watched a man reverse into a tree, get stuck and do some damage….he didn’t get out to see but I’m sure he will appreciate the imprint of the tree on his boot!
I’m trying to convince hubby we need to drive to the exhibition!

  5. Nah, you’re no idiot. We’ve all done something like that in our lives. Plus I have seen stairs jump, they’re quiet and undetectable … there’s no way it could have been your fault.
