Yes, it was an earflap

Yes, it was an earflap 🙂

And now you see an almost hat! The back is not tidy, and I just can’t do twohanded knitting. I’ve used Peruvian Highland wool on 4mm circs. It’ll be nice and warm. Possibly too warm for Sydney. I tried to tell Em I’d keep this one and I’ll make her another, but she wouldn’t agree. Brat. 😉
Still, I’m not sure if I am up to Fair Isle with lots of colours and at 28sts/4″. But I’ll give it a try.
It’s Monday, and Monday is cleaning day. Better get it over and done with I guess. I think I’ll block the Plain Pink Cardi, too.

  1. You’re a braver woman than I! I’m still working on cabling. Of course< I’ve been knitting less than a year…. Maybe by the time I’ve been knitting a year I’ll have a chance to try fair isle, too!

  2. It looks great to me. If you can manage two colours you should be ready for more.
By the way I think that true FairIsle only uses 2 colours to a row, (but can use more colours in the next row etc.)I should check on this however.
If you use more colours per row and more than about 6 stitches per colour, you should try using yarn wound onto bobbins so you don’t have to carry too much across the back. One bobbin for each area of colour.
    Good Luck
