Here we go again!

So my jumper/cardi/sweater knitting of late has been rather prolific. The knitting part, anyway. The finishing bit, not so much.
The knitting is complete on Rogue, and she’s relaxing in a warm bubble bath.

So after it’s dry, I just need to seam it and weave in the ends. Featherweight is still around. Rather embarrassingly, all it needs is to have the ends woven in. And Precious only needs a ribbon tie for the front. (I’m looking for a nice, wide, black taffeta ribbon, and haven’t been able to find it)
So, with all that in mind, guess what I did?

Yup, started another! I actually tried this pattern a month or so ago with the recommended yarn, but it was coming out huge, so I frogged it. It’s a Patons Australia pattern, designed in the now discontinued “Serenity” cotton/bamboo blend. (Rav link) I’m doing it in The Yarn Workshop’s Ultimo, a wool/silk/bamboo blend. At least that’s what I think it is, I’ll gave to check and get back to you on that.
I’ll do the finishing touches on the others. Soon.

  1. Finishing and me are not best friends either! But you’ll get there, I have no doubt!!
I didn’t know Serenity was discontinued. I’m even more glad I bought two bags of the red in that case!

  2. Ick… I hate finishing. But it is a necessary evil.
Your rogue looks like it’s going to be quite stunning when it’s all done.
And I’m surprised Serenity’s been discontinued, wasn’t it only released 2 or 3 years ago?
Looking forward to seeing the others, once finished of course. 🙂

  3. hehe, far be it from me to criticise anyone on their delayed finishing! i guess just cos you’re good at it doesnt mean you have to like it. i am very much looking forward to seeing all these things on you soon though.

  4. I am not a fan of finishing. I have a stole type thing all done, needs to be sewn together and a border added which I am simplifying to either fringe or crocheting around it. My excuse was I couldn’t find the border yarn but I found it and now know where it is waiting and have been avoiding it.

  5. I hate finishing too, especially weaving in the ends. It just take forever. I wish there is a knitting fairy around who finished up projects as I would rather just knit.
