I need to get back into the mojo of this blogging malarky. It’s not that I don’t have anything to blog about, it’s just that I’ve fallen out of the habit, I think.
So far, 2010 appears to be the year of the small project. That suits me just fine, the satisfaction of a quick and dirty project is sometimes just what I need.
On Sunday, I pulled out a single ball of Noro Silk Garden Lite that had been kicking around, and trawled Ravelry looking for a suitable pattern. I decided on the Waterfall Scarf.

Started on Sunday night, it was finished on Monday afternoon!

Happy Supermodel shot!
Specs:
Pattern: Waterfall Scarf by Cosette Cornelius-Bates
Yarn: 1 ball of Noro Silk Garden Lite, Colourway 2032, Purchased an aeon ago at The Wool Inn at Penrith
Needles: 4.5mm Birch straights
Mods: I added one stitch to either end, and began every row with a slipped stitch, otherwise, it’s as written. I just kept knitting until I ran out of yarn.
Overall, it’s a nice, quick knit with a good finish. Would make a good gift knit, I think.
good pattern choice for the Silk Garden Lite!
I know what you mean about blogging – I have been very slack so far this year!
I agree with RoseRed – an excellent match of yarn and pattern. And so speedy! It would be great to have you blogging more often, but I hope you enjoy it as well as feeling obligated to blog.
never mind, perhaps the heat has zapped it!
yeah im a bit with you on the blogging. whats there to say? its hot, im cranky. end of story! i will say however, this is a great pattern. i have been looking for something to do with my 2 skeins of noro cash iroha, and this looks like it. brilliant donna strikes again.
Tres chic!
Good luck with Year 12 Em!
woohoo – great knit – but I am hoping it is for you and not the model…..
I am in favour of a quick knit – and am itching to knit one but I am stuck in larger garment world at the moment
Cute! I love doing that on Ravelry, plug in a yarn and see what others have done with it. My favorites and queue have grown a lot that way.
Love that scarf,I too had a gorgeous single ball of Noro Silk Garden gifted as part of Ravelry Bday 2009,Ive never seen or felt one before but found a lovely pattern for a hat made with a single ball,I was a non beleiver there being enough!! but I finished it in one day and blocked it to a nice fit!Hubby approves particulary when I can get my hair to curl a bit, nice and hippy,he gets a silly grin everytime I try it one!!!Ill put it on my Rav page as soon as our internet speed is back, kids took 25gig in 2 and a half weeks…
That is a great scarf – and love how quickly it went! Thanks for the idea – I think I have a skein of Silk Garden…
What a lovely scarf. I have added it to my Ravelry queue.
Adorable scarf – great combo of yarn & pattern, gotta love the Rav!
