Look! Something’s finished!

My October socks are finished, and only a day late. (Started October 1, finished November 1)

Specs:
Pattern: Mingus by CookieA
Yarn: Very Berrytini by Yarntini (Obtained in a Rav destash)
Needles: 2.25mm Kollage Square DPNS
Mods: Just the shape of the toe. I like my toe a little more rounded than Cookie’s patterns, so I reduce the rows between the decreases. Otherwise, none!

I love the pattern! And the Yarntini yarn is perfect for it – lovely colour, lovely stitch definition. The only problem is that it’s not really designed for cankles. It’s lovely for anyone with normal sized ankle, but not me. Fortunately, these are destined for someone else’s feet.
So I cast on another pair of Cookie’s for me.

Twinkle Toes in Socks That Rock Heavyweight, colourway Jasper. Hopefully I’ll have no problem getting these done in a month!

  1. Oh the pattern is just gorgeous and your stitches are so beautiful. MrsDrWho said my socks were very short, but I have ‘athletic calves'(!!) so I need shorter socks too.

  2. oh they are amazing! that yarntini stuff is something else. and not pink either (not that i dont like pink, just you have been making lots of pink lately. which is great, really, but sometimes a change is good…ok i’ll just shut up now!)and more cookie patterns i didnt know about, must go look….

  3. Beautiful!! I agree that the yarn is perfect for those socks. Don’t ya love it when it all comes together like that?

  4. That is a gorgeous pair of socks!!! And I love the stitch definition too!! But isn’t it a little sad when the project is finished, we realised that it doesn’t fit us perfectly? That happens to a few pair of socks I knitted too 🙁
