Drewzl over at Blogportion has declared today to be ‘Blogtoberfest Fave Friday’. I love Blog fodder!
My favourite song of all time is Nick Cave’s Into My Arms. You can see it here on You Tube if you so desire. I’m a long time Nick Cave fan. When the CD is on in the car, Em likes to call it my “depressive” CD. He’s definitely not cheery! I have no idea why I love this song so much, but the sentiment behind it resonates with me. Just love it, never get sick of hearing it. I can’t say the same on behalf of David and Emily though.
After mucho knitting yesterday and today, the fronts for Evie are coming along nicely.
I have put the pockets in place, and am shaping the sides. This is not the cardi you want to knit if you don’t like instructions that read “while at the same time”. There’s different stitch patterns happening, pocket placement, side shaping and buttonholes. It’s so confusing that I had to sit down and write out all the rows that had something going on. Gotta love post it notes.
Today, Twinkie and I had an apple. She’s a fan of the humble apple.
The way to a bunny’s heart is through her tummy.
I love complicated patterns that require notes – my “Elise” from Rowan “Vintage Knits” required an array of mathematical notations. I think it just makes the end result even sweeter, especially if it’s in 4ply. You are a *very* fast knitter!
(I too love my Nick Cave. He bought a whole bar a drink once, so I was lucky enough to have a beer on him. I miss the 90’s!)
Oh Nick Cage, one of my all time favorites! At our house the buns would never be that calm around apples. They would be climbing all over me and licking my fingers.
Cant wait to see you model the sweater! And I agree, you are a fast knitter, think Im going good when i finish a sock in a week,he he!
Gorgeous as ever is Twinkie,at least she has manners,Fluffa bites zee ankles if youre not quick handing over the bread (has to be TipTop of course)
My guinea pigs love apples, too. We share one sometimes, but I’ll bet I get more than you do from Twinkie!
Oh I love that song. Depressive yeah, but there’s a place for that!
I’m not allowed to play Nick Cave anywhere that my family might hear it!!
That was my wedding song!!!!
i love love love nick cave … and that song is one of my favourites. in fact i have nick cave playing at the moment – before i even read this post.
