Still here, but not really here. Surrounded by fabric. At least Twinkie enjoys this time of year. She like sit when I’m sitting at the table all day sewing. She sits under the table with me, or sits on my feet, nudging me occasionally when I’m not paying her enough attention!
So, the sewing is still getting in the way of the knitting, but I’ve managed a row or ten here and there! I finished the Shetland Shorty.
Finished, but unblocked. It’s tiny! Just to show you how small it is, here it is with a 100g skein of sock yarn.
It has since been blocked, and hopefully on the weekend I’ll get a picture of Em wearing it.
The Firestarters are also coming along nicely.
These are my September socks, and they’re almost done already, hooray!
The weather still isn’t co-operating. Monday morning, September 1, first day of Spring was beautiful. Beautiful. I woke up, and it was sunny and warm and just gorgeous. Tuesday? More of the same. Spring had arrived, bang on time. I was happy, felt my spirits lifting immediately.
Wednesday? Blah. And it’s still gray.

And wet.

I think I’ll just sit here and cuddle my bunny.
Our ‘Spring’ started with -2 degrees and lots of rain. The SS is very tiny and I love the socks. Nice cuddles for Twinkie!!
I cant wait to see Em wearing it. I love those socks too. Our weather was nice too and now it supposed to be wet and miserable on the weekend with a thunderstorm.
I just love that picture of you and Twinkie!
Sounds like you need some sunshine! Our weather has not been the best either. Never mind! I sent my Em to QLD on Thursday. Sunny here, torrential rain there!!
Bunny cuddling sounds like the perfect thing to do on a gray and wet day!
Will look for the pic of Em. Love those socks. Hurricane Hannah is passing by. Stayed in & knitting BSJ #2. No loss of power and storm has not done any damage other that flooding in some areas. It will be nice to see your spring as our fall is coming in.
Oh, the Firestarters look lovely! I can’t wait to see them on someone’s feet. That pattern intrigues me, can’t decide whether I want to knit it or not.
The socks and shrug are beautiful! And I would love for Max to hang out at my feet while I sew – but I think he would be busy getting into trouble.
