Knit Camp!

Knit Camp was just absolutely wonderful.
What’s not to enjoy?
Scenery like this.

Wildlife.

We only got a quick glimpse of this little wallaby when we arrived, though.
Great company! In attendance (amongst others) were myself, Ailsa, Sharon, RoseRed, Bells, KMS, Anne and Donni.

Ailsa and RoseRed, at the bush chapel.

Mel, and her dyeing.

Anne, and the hat made from the yarn she’d dyed on the Saturday.

Bells, and her famous steeked jacket.

Sharon and Zena, doing what we spent most of the weekend doing.

There was alcohol, there was food, there was knitting, and much hilarity. Some of what happens at Knit Camp must stay at Knit Camp, although I have some pretty good photographic evidence of hijinx which shall not be made public.
And the knitting. Well, lets just say that I went to Knit Camp, and I came home minus one sweater.
Damn Wicked and stupid dyelots.

After much discussion, it was decided that I wouldn’t be able to live with it.

Thank heavens I didn’t only go to camp for the knitting!

  1. Poor poor Wicked. But for a knitting rockstar like you it shouldn’t take you too long to re-do!!
    (ZOMG! LOL! BBQ!!!) (WMLx10!)

  2. I’m glad you had a great time. I am counting down the days till my knitting camp.
Too bad about Wicked but I am sure the finished sweater will be worth the re-knit.
Love the camp pictures. I usually forget to take pictures except at the fashion show that happens at the one I go to. And then I usually only get picks of my items as I don’t see them modeled that often.

  3. Thank you for the virtual Camp!! Everyone looks very happy and knitty!! Bah Humbug about the dyelots, I couldn’t live with it either….

  4. Oh I had a cruel kind of ‘train wreck’ fascination watching you frog and frog and frog but shivers of horror after you were done and couldn’t work out which ball was the dark one! eeeek!! 🙂 Stripes

  5. I only managed to knit half a sock at our knitting retreat but it was still the greatest weekend that I ever had. Sorry to hear about Wicked but I am sure you will have it knitted up again in no time. Happy knitting.
