What a week!
If I owe you an email, I apologise sincerely. Last weekend, Em had the sniffles. By Wednesday night, both David and I had colds. (And Wednesday was David’s birthday!) By Thursday night, my face hurt.
Early hours of Friday morning, I was in the painful throes of a full on sinus attack, and was ready to start driving anywhere to find a 24 hour chemist. At least three different people took the time to tell me how terrible looked on Friday.
So most of Friday and yesterday were spent in bed, suffering.
But I’m feeling much better today!
Pascale has been pointed in the direction of all your lovely comments, thank you very much!!
Costumes? Dress Rehearsal is over, and it was far less painful than I was expecting. I got around a dozen costumes back for alteration, and there was nothing major. I still have 5 left to fix, but hopefully I’ll be done by the middle of this week.
David very thoughtfully took a Saturday Sky picture for me while I slept yesterday.

Didn’t I miss a great day?
Knitting? Not much. But I have had a sneaky project going for the past week or so.

Birthday socks! He really did deserve another pair.
The yarn is a DK weight pure wool, purchased from an Australian ebay seller, Highland Cottage Crafts.
A nice quick knit, and I’m told the socks are the most comfortable yet.
The zigzag socks are heading down the foot on the second sock, and the purple blob is still a purple blob, lbiet a little bigger than the last time I showed it!
You poor things, there is nothing worse than a Summer cold and then on a birthday as well. It’s just too much!!! Very nice socks, look at all the pooling, I love pooling!!
Curse the dreaded sinus infection! I get one every year and have, in recent years, given up on antibiotics. With or without them, it’s ten days of my teeth hurting every time I take a step. (Makes jogging a real joy.)
I hope we’re going to get recital pictures!
get better quickly! that’s a very thoughtful man you’ve got there to take your Sat sky photo for you!
I’m glad you are feeling better
Donna,
It’s a long drive and I’m sure there would be chemists closer to you if you investigated, but here’s some if really desperate.
One at Hurlstone Park, near McDonalds, intersection of Old and New Canterbury Rds.
A couple on Burwood Rd, Burwood.
Intersection of Darling Street and Victoria Rds Drummoyne. He even used to be open Christmas night.
If you ask your chemist in daylight hours he probably could tell you someone local, or more local than my way.
I hope all three of you are feeling better now. I’ve had sinus problems since childhood and know how horrible they can be.
Jan
House full of germs, eh? Hopefully, you will all recover and stay healthy to enjoy the nice days you’re having. Those socks are a quick knit! I guess DK goes fast.
I hope your all feeling much better by now. Sinus problems are quite painful arent they. I love David’s new socks. Glad you finished the costumes in time too.
The sky is beautiful. Sorry to hear about the sinus. Hope you get well soon. =) Those socks looks cozy and comfortable.. Makes my toes feel cold looking at them! (Its been raining lots over here so its been cooler)
Sorry to hear you were so sick, especially since you didn’t get to enjoy the beautiful Saturday Sky. Glad you’re feeling better!
Poor sniffly things, I hope you will soon be on the mend.
I’m sorry to hear you’ve all been sick! Especially with the performance so close and all those costumes to do. I hope that you are feeling better soon, and that your husband enjoyed his birthday socks!!!
