Two posts in two days, alert the media!
We had an outing today. Thankfully, the weather was a vast improvement on yesterday.
Where did we go? To the football.
That would be the NRL for out-of-staters, and Rugby League for the international contingent. Anyone who knows me is scratching their heads in puzzlement. The football and I generally don’t make a happy couple. However, there was an ulterior motive.
We had free tickets because Emily was performing.
Emily, and roughly 800 other kids!! Isn’t she a star?
Okay, here’s a marginally better picture.
Anyway, the dye bug bit again, and I had dyed up the Knitpicks Dye Your Own worsted weight that Tammy sent me, and I took it along to work on. In my gorgeous new Jordana Paige bag!
Just a scarf, but I needed something relatively easy to work on. I seem to be in a muted phase at the moment. The colours I used here are Gaywool colours, Meadow, Watercrest and Violet.
So it was a happy family day. Em got to dance and show off, I got to knit, and David got to watch the football.
Every Sunday should be this good!
sounds like a weekend in our house I knit dad watches the footy on the box and well boss plays around showing off.
Em is CLEARLY not only the most beautiful child there, but also the most talented. I can tell.
🙂
What a lovely day you must have had.
xo
Lovely colors. Hey, any opportunity to knit is good. Even if you do have to sit in uncomfortable chairs!
Well atleast you got a beautiful winters day for footy, and you had your knitting in that fantastic bag.
Awesome! It sounds like it was a fun day for everyone. 🙂
Free tickets and great entertainment. What fun!
What a talented girl Emily is. You must be so proud, and I too would knit through watching NRL, although I do watch some AFL and I did used to go to matches for about 2 years, but I did not do a lot of knitting then. At least you have your sunshine back, I think Melbourne received the crappy weather since it has been raining since Sunday. Today is foggy and gray, so not very inspiring.
sounds like a wonderful day to me:) by the way, your scarf is gorgeous, would you please tell me what kind of stitch is that or where did you get the pattern from ? i would love to knit that too ! gorgeous gorgeous, making me all inspired again !
