I knew I wouldn’t finish the glove on Sunday. I jinxed myself.
Well, really, I started playing computer games and never picked up the glove.
However, I finished it last night.

Well, almost finished. There’s an end or two to be woven in.

Of course, that’s just glove number one.
These gloves were supposed to be a stash busting exercise, using up the leftover yarns from my Fair Isle Sampler Hat.
Guess what?
The main colours, the green and the blue? I’ve run out and need to order another ball of each. I will end up with more of those yarns than I began with.
Stashbusting, my butt!
Twinkie knows that if she gets into her hutch at night, she’ll get vegies.

So she thought she’d give it a go in the daytime. Nice try!

  1. Yep – Twinkie’s a Labrador all right!! She is a clever bunny!!
Lovely glove, but isn’t it always the way with the running out of wool???!!!

  2. The glove is beautiful. I guess with all that blue and green you’re going to have left over you will have to find another stashbusting project. 🙂
Twinkie is adorable. Smart too. 🙂

  3. The glove looks wonderful. I don’t envey the ends though. I can’t get over it that Twinkie is such a huge bunny and soooooooo cute! ;o)

  4. The glove is awesome. Maybe someone out there in blogland has some leftovers from their hat. Twinkie, as always, is adorable.

  5. Kudos to you for knitting gloves WITH FINGERS! Geez, that’s something I don’t even want to attempt. And those ends….get yourself a lovely drink and hunker down with your darning needle. They do look lovely though….can you just leave the bit hanging off the fingers? 😀

  6. The glove is a work of art, I love it. Where are you ordering the yarn from? Is it available locally? It is just that I bought a glove book off ebay that uses the same yarn.

  7. Isn’t that always the way with stashbusting projects?!
I love how pets refuse some training, but pick up on others really fast!! You’ve got a smart girl there!

  8. Amazing glove. I love it.Clever clever bunny. Thing is will she sit there till night time? Or just hope for extras?

  9. LOVE the gloves. That’s one of my “will make” projects this year. Funny..I bought the Fair Isle cardigan kit form Knitpicks, and I was thinking what I’ll do with all that extra yarn, and..ta-dah, I’ll make fair isle gloves!
