One sock down!
Woohoo! I’ve been wearing just one sock.
The second one is started, and I am just past the ribbing. I should be further along, but life keeps getting in the way.
First, just for something different, I cast on for a cabled headband from the latest issue of Creative Knitting. I probably will never wear it, but Em’s dance teacher currently has a thing for headbands. I haven’t done cables in a while, and it makes good TV knitting.
I’ve also been doing some sewing – 3 costumes down, 72ish to go.
And I’ve blocked the pink lacey cardi.
Now I just need to seam it, and face the dreaded edging.
I’ve had a screaming headache all day, but it’s right on the top of my head, not in my forehead like usual. I laid down for a bit this afternoon, and it felt better, then I went to put away the laundry, and a big spider (thing of my nightmares!) ran across the bedroom floor, and under my bed.
My headache is back.
DH didn’t find the spider.
It’s still there somewhere.
Under my bed.
Possibly dead.
There is enough insect spray in the bedroom to kill off 50 of the horrible little terrors.
I still don’t think I’ll sleep tonight.
The stripes are perfect on the sock! Are you going to try to match the stripes on the second sock or go for the mismatched looked?
Know what you mean, Ick! Can’t wait to see the cardi put together. Love the sock!!
The sock is great! And the colors did turn out lovely together!
ilove the sock and can’t wait to see the other one! they’re so beautiful i love the colors. the sweater is lovely…
eeek mabye soaking the room in bug killer would help. i wouldn’t be able to sleep either!
lol we would have matched last night……… I was walking about with one sock on too. Seems to be the thing to do, it makes you want the other sock done.
ooooooooo I love the pinks in those stripes, youve inspired me to look at finishing my socks this weekend to keep my toesies warm. Let us know how the cabled headband goes. I was thinking of something like that for Brins or a hat with a cabled edge maybe. Ive got a few patterns hanging around that have appealed to me. And I have some of the merino left to make it with.
hi, i surfed to your blog via the knitting blogring. your sock is great, and i just scrolled down to see that you dyed it yourself? wow. and am curious to see what the pink cardigan looks like finally! it’s looking so neat and tidy, all blocked and folded.
As pretty as expected. Yay for Donna. =) Ick! Spiders… At least its not a roach. Boy do I hate them..
