News just in! Emily has a bedroom floor!
That’s about as clean as it gets. I should have taken a picture on Tuesday afternoon, just to give you a comparison. At least I have proof that it can be done now.
I didn’t make the shawl on her bed, that’s a DK weight crochet shawl that my Grandma made for her when I was pregnant.
However, I have been knitting on my shawl.
It’s growing. In fact, I’ve got as far as I can until I do some more of the test piece to work out the next chart. I’m really pleased with it so far, and a little worried that I won’t want to give it away once it’s done.
Here’s a close up of one quarter.
Nice, huh? This much has been done using patterns from various books. The next bit is my own chart, and it didn’t go quite as planned. Hopefully, I’ve sorted out the problems.
Stay tuned!
Emily must be happy about her newly cleaned room. The shawl looks nice~ And very daunting. There must be thousands of stitches on the needle now! (0_0) Maybe someday i will be able to do that too. But fr now, I’ll just enjoy looking at yours. lol..
Just tell Emily the room is a ‘Christmas miracle’ – heh … both shawls are beautiful!
I’ve been watching your shawl grow from afar. I LOVE it. You are very talented, and I MUST have that pattern when you’re done. I mean… I’m not a sucessful lace knitter… but I must attempt it! 😉 Merry Christmas.
Your shawl is coming along nicely. This is definitely going to be hard to part with. Haven’t seen my son’s floor yet. Maybe I should go take a before picture right now.
Awww, no pictures of “petrified” sandwiches?
How can I not stayed tuned! I’m riveted! Beautiful work. Have a great Christmas Donna, catch up in the New Year.
Hi Donna!!
Just dropping by to wish you and your family “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!”
Cheers,
Michelle
Nice! Is that “Marvin” the Monkey I see on her bed? 🙂
