The baby outfit is done!

I’m pleased with it, but the sleeves look a little short to me. Still, I haven’t been around a newborn for a long time, so it’s probably fine.
My zippers arrived! However none of them are exactly right. So here is where you all help me 🙂

I’m leaning towards C or B. Help me decide. I think I like C better, but I’m not sure. Last night E looked all wrong, but today it doesn’t look too bad!

  1. first, the baby outfit is *adorable*! you are making me want to take up baby knitting even though there are no babies in my life to knit for!
    second, i really like b, c, and e. i think that i would put the zippers in this order: b, e, c.
    fear not… you are such a good and prolific seamstress that i am sure the others shall not go to waste!

  3. I like zipper B if the yarn it should have matched is the lighter color, I like E if it should have matched the dark color of the sleeves and collar.
    The baby set is adorable!

  12. If the pic is true to colour I would go either B or E, probably E more as it would provide a good contrast & matches the sleeves pretty well.

  13. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! It would show up the least, like other have said. But that’s only if the colours are spot on. I reckon zippers should sit and listen, not speak..If you know what I mean? 😛

  14. The baby outfit is soooo adorable, I can clearly remember Geoff and I laughing when our Babies would lift their arms up and they would barely reach their ears, so obviously babies have short arms. And as for the zip, definately B 🙂

  20. The baby set is adorable!! I have a 2 month old grandson that would look adorable in it if you REALLY don’t think the sleeves are quite right…:)

  23. B or E, depending on whethe ryou want it to blend into the sweater (B) or show and contrast and still match the sleeves (E)
    The best way to see what you prefer would probably be to pin the sip in place and try the weater ton and see how you like it.

  24. What an adorable baby set! That’s one lucky newborn! I think zipper E will blend the best, as in not stand out since it’s a shade darker. However, if you’re hoping the zipper will pop a bit, I would go with B or C. All depends on the look you’re going after.

  25. Assuming my computer display is showing me the colors correctly I vote for E. I know it doesn’t match but none of them match and E looks to be the most ‘neutral’ to me. It will draw the least amount of attention to the fact that it doesn’t match. Sue

    I like zippers b, c and e. I’m leaning more towards b because it seems to blend in more with the body of the cardi, but c matches with both the body AND the neck. Hmm…a definite toss up between b and c. Based upon zipper teeth alone, I may go for b. I’ve added zippers that contrast in color a bit to the knit and loved how it looks. None of those zippers are an exact match, but zippers rarely do match with the body of the garment! In any event, you can’t lose with b, c or e because all look good against the cardi.
