Well, the big news for today was Emily’s first grown-up dance.
She finishes Primary School next week, and they have a mini-prom to celebrate. She picked her dress, she picked her tiara, she decided how she wanted her hair done. I was a little worried that she was overdone.

However, when we arrived at the venue, Em was nowhere near overdone. Some of these eleven and twelve year olds were in evening gowns. Several girls were wearing tiara’s, and Em’s was the smallest.
I might be her mother, but I think my Emily was the prettiest 😉
As an added bonus, my DH and I went downstairs (the venue was a local club), played the pokies (won $45!) then got to have dinner together, just the two of us. I can’t remember the last time that happened 🙂
She looks adorable!!
She looks gorgeous!
She looks so pretty in pink! Nice choices, Em!
I can’t imagine that any of them could have been prettier. She’s exquisite!
She reminds me of Audrey Hepburn, my favorite movie star! And I love her flapper style dress…always wanted to dress like a flapper, you know! It is amazing how grown up she looks. I know it’s fun for girls to dress up (I remember those days) but it is scary how grown up some of them looks in high school proms around here. Much too sexy with low plunging necklines and slits for a 16 year old! My mother would never have let me dress like that! Em looks gorgeous though. She’s poised on the edge of little girlhood, ready to leap into young lady-hood!
You should be very proud of Em. She’s lovely and knows how to be so without overdoing it.
Your daughter is beautiful! Hope she had a fun time.
Em looks so beautiful and grown up! I hope she had a wonderful time!
