Knitty, knitty, knit

So for the past few days I've been working almost exclusively on the Lace and Cables Sweater. I was definitely getting to the stage where I was sick of looking at it, so I just wanted it done.

Yesterday morning I was up to here on the front.

Last night I stayed up pretty late, but by this morning I had this.

A nice pile of finished pieces, ready to be blocked before seaming. Hooray! And those pieces are now pinned out on my bedroom floor, drying.

I enjoyed knitting it, but I always get tired of whatever I'm knitting before I finish it.

I did start something else through the week though, because project monogamy is just totally beyond me.

Socks for my mum for Mother's Day. I'm using some yummy, yummy Koigu in P604, and the Anastasia pattern. So far, so good, and I took my mum to the doctors this morning, and she admired the sock while I was working on it. (She doesn't know it's intended for her) Let's hope that means that she actually does like them!

And finally, in Twinkie news, she's still not happy about the diet regime she's been on since coming home from Lara's.
Today, she has taken matters into her own paws.

She's stealing potatoes from the potato bin.

I did something to my back while doing canteen duty yesterday, and it's aching, so I think I'm going to bed with my knitting now.

Wow!! I love all the cables and rib. I hope to block my GITNeB tomorrow!!!
Poor Twinkie, it's like The Labradors being forced to eat raw carrot for a treat. I like a rabbit who has a proactive attitude!!

OK,the knitting is all lovely but that Twinkie photo is HILARIOUS! Portrait of a Bunny with Potato.

love it!

I hope your back is better soon. A little rest and a little knitting should help it. Looking forward to seeing the sweater all sewn together. Love the colors of the socks yarn.

Can't wait to see the finished sweater. Twinkie and her spud! You know gals on a diet are resourceful

I started a pair of the Anastasia socks before we moved. Maybe I should get back to those.

Hope your back is better soon.

Your sweater pieces look very soft and cozy!

I hope you're enjoying the Anastasia sock, a project that proved that I am incapable of dealing with a traveling eyelet. Ack.

Twinkie and I both like potatoes in times of need.

All done within a night - you are fast! Can't wait to see it all in 1 piece. Love the color of your Anatasia socks - it's a great pattern as I have seen it knitted up IRL.

aww...twinkie's been stealing eh?? dun worry. most of our pets do that anyway. i caught my Momo stealing socks one time!! caught him red handed!! he dropped the sock when he saw me looking at him, and run and hide himself under the table after that. tsk tsk tsk

Donna,
Your sweater is beautiful and I am looking forward to seeing the finished photo shoot. Cute sock pattern too.

Sorry about your achy back! I don't blame Twinkie for stealing potatoes. I love them myself. Does she have a favorite recipe for them or does she just like them raw?

I'm excited to see that sweater completed! Maybe it'll give me a push to start mine.

LOVE the picture of Twinkie. Naughty bunnies. I was horrified when I was staying at my sister's house and Mrs. Cooper stole potato chips out of a bag. I didn't even know bunnies would go for potatoes!

A potato? We've never tried potato!

You are so disciplined getting the lace and cables sweater done! Your Anastasia is looking good too. I made them a while ago, and its a lovely, swift knit. The yarn is beautiful! Where do you get your Koigu from?

PS - Should bunnies eat spuds?

This is so funny, I have to tell you! I woke up this morning to see that Mrs. Cooper had dragged a sweet potato from a shelf and chowed on it! I have NEVER seen her go after a potato, sweet or otherwise. I thought of Twinkie right away!
