Another new project

Buttercup is done. Finished, finito, over. I think I'm happy with it, but I haven't actually worn it yet. And I don't have modelled pictures either, due to a combination of crap weather and lack of available photographers.
Of course, I could have got a picture today, but I just plain forgot about it.

However, I have moved on to another new project.

It's the Lacy Cable Sweater from Jo Sharp Knit 2.

Here's my progress.

Why, oh, why did I choose a pattern with 18cm of 1x1 ribbing?!? Anyhow that part is over for the front. And before you all start on how quickly I knit, I actually started it back on Tuesday, and I've been working almost exclusively on this one project.

The yarn I'm using is the yarn called for, Jo Sharp Alpaca Silk Georgette, in Musk. It's really nice to work with, not at all scratchy, although it does get a little splitty if you're not careful.

However, I do have a sinking feeling that my dedication to this one project is about to be tested. Yesterday this arrived.

And now my fingers are itching to start something new!

I feel your ribbing pain!! The pattern looks lovely though, above the ribbing. Are all those shawls in that one book??? Wow!!

The book looks great fun.
Love the socks too.

I'm really out of the knitting loop lately, I hadn't even heard of that book.

I still think you knit fast :)

More lace to drool over!

Oooh, lace. Love the Jo Sharp top. I really need to spend more time checking out the new Jo Sharp books at the yarn shops. I have a lot of the old ones but I haven't seen too many of the newer ones lately.

That book! I hate you.

I will be visiting you later this week now. Make sure you step up the security on that book!

I too feel your 1x1 rib pain. I'm suffering through 2.5 inches of 1x1 twisted rib on 2.5mm sticks right now!!

Hope the lace book has lots of lovely charts!!

Well I think you should go ahead and start something new. One shouldn't ignore itching fingers. I read that somewhere so it must be true.

I love that sweater and you have made a lot of progress too. Now dont go and get distracted as winter is coming in a couple of months and wouldnt it be nice to have that scrumptious sweater to wear on cold days.

I'm so happy to see you making that! I have my eye on that pattern, too.
