I'm having a nice mail

I'm having a nice mail week :)
On Tuesday, I received this from Celia.

Pencil roving so that I can practice spinning and get the hang of my wheel.
Then today, I got this from The Knitting Zone.

One of my Crystal Palace size 0 DPNS got broken while I was on holiday, and they are my favourite sock needles. So, while I was ordering them, I ordered some more beads so I could do Em's beaded socks, and when I saw the Regia Clown sock yarn, I just knew I had to have some of that too.
Yarn diet, my butt. See why I find it so hard to lose weight? I have no willpower.
And I did stay up to order some Highland Wool from Elann. I had Wisteria and Dusky Purple for my Ribby Cardi, but I wasn't happy with them together, I thought they needed more contrast. So last night I ordered eggplant for the sleeves, and I will stick with Wisteria for the body.

Hopefully, I shall finish Clapotis today, and swatch for Ribby. :)
It's going to be horrendously hot again, and Em is off to a pool party, so perhaps I shall just sit in front of the fan and suck down iceblocks.
We'll see :)

Wow, I ran across your blog 2x in 2 days and read your 100 things about me section. Seems we have a lot in common, including the big feet, an 11 year old child, and the crappy housekeeper thing. Of course your yarn stash is too big...if you blog about it you are probably like the rest of us! My knitter friend Kaye says, "it's cheaper than heroin!" hee hee

Hey Ms Donna....waiting to hear back from Bonnie Marie if Ribby will fit me. If she says yes, I'll do it. ;)

That sock yarn is too fun!

I'm with you on the ice blocks! Don't have them normally but the lastt few days... And I'm a lot closer to the sea breeze than you are. My sister is at Maroota near Wiseman's Ferry, trying to sell her house. She is actually hoping no buyers arrive before a cool change, even though they have a pool.

I saw the Highland wool at Elann, but had already well and truly gone over the limit set for the sock wool.

Juliana's aubergine cashmere is a deep eggplant colour. I like it a lot and may even get some nay later for more gifts.
