Satin is pretty much dry, ready to seam. The Pink Pullover is done, ready to be blocked, but I&#8217;m wavering. I mean, it&#8217;s 80% acrylic, does it really need to be blocked? The bottom edge is curling though, so maybe I will block it.<br \/>\nI knit a little baby hat from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/1855859262\/qid=1114423825\/sr=8-1\/ref=pd_csp_1\/104-8174283-0779129?v=glance&#038;s=books&#038;n=507846\">Simple Knits for Cherished Babies<\/a>.<br \/>\n<center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"bluebabycap.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.randomknits.net\/archives\/bluebabycap.jpg\" width=\"398\" height=\"297\" border=\"0\" \/><\/center><br \/>\nThe pattern called for Rowan All Seasons Cotton, but I subbed some Manos Cotton Stria that <a href=\"http:\/\/yarnover.blogdrive.com\/\">Jill<\/a> sent me a while back. It needs a little steam blocking, but otherwise I like it!<br \/>\nEm finished her spinning, and I plied her singles for her. She used some pencil roving that <a href=\"http:\/\/celiaknits.blogspot.com\/\">Celia<\/a> kindly sent me to practice spinning with.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s a little (!) underspun, but not bad for a first attempt by a 12 year old \ud83d\ude42<br \/>\n<center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Ems wool.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.randomknits.net\/archives\/Ems wool.jpg\" width=\"328\" height=\"398\" border=\"0\" \/><\/center><br \/>\nIt then took a grape Kool Aid bath in the microwave, and now it looks like this.<br \/>\n<center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Ems wool dyed.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.randomknits.net\/archives\/Ems wool dyed.jpg\" width=\"398\" height=\"324\" border=\"0\" \/><\/center><br \/>\nI&#8217;ve also been busy with this.<br \/>\n<center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"pinkcoatprogress.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.randomknits.net\/archives\/pinkcoatprogress.jpg\" width=\"398\" height=\"301\" border=\"0\" \/><\/center><br \/>\nIt is destined to be a pink wool blend coat. Hopefully it will be finished (and look alright) to wear to the Tap Dogs on Sunday.<br \/>\nI think I will knit some baby clothes next. A few little things that make me feel like I&#8217;m knitting a lot \ud83d\ude09<br \/>\nIn Australia and New Zealand today, we commemorated <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/ANZAC_Day\">ANZAC Day<\/a>. We have ANZAC Day on April 25 every year. This commemorates the date that the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula in 1915 in World War 1. We take this day each year to remember those who have fallen, and to honour the returned Servicemen and women. We have parades of the returned service personnel, not just from WW1, but from all our wars, and we have Dawn Services to honour them all.<br \/>\n<center><br \/>\nThey shall not grow old<br \/>\nas we that are left grow old,<br \/>\nAge shall not weary them<br \/>\nnor the years condemn<br \/>\nAt the going down of the sun<br \/>\nand in the morning<br \/>\nWe Will Remember Them<br \/>\nLest We Forget<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"poppy-anzac.gif\" src=\"http:\/\/www.randomknits.net\/archives\/poppy-anzac.gif\" width=\"70\" height=\"59\" border=\"0\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Busy, busy, busy.
