Just six rows of the neckband and two sleeve cuffs, each eleven rows to go! So why am I stopping to post to the blog, instead of finishing that handful of rows? A knitters nightmare.<\/div>\n

That’s all the yarn I have. I ran out. It’s my own fault, I made the sleeves longer and didn’t think about whether I’d have enough yarn. I got the yarn from Calico & Ivy about a year ago. When I left work last Tuesday, I’m pretty sure there were 2 or 3 balls on the shelf. I have no idea what dyelot or if there’ll be any left when I get in tomorrow morning.<\/div>\n

It’s not been a good week creativity wise. Wednesday afternoon I came home and sewed up a dress I’d cut out a few days before. Finished it off, tried it on, was happy as a clam. But it was a little bit stiff, so I tossed it into the washing machine and dryer, so I could wear it to work the next day.  It shrank.<\/div>\n

On Friday afternoon I made up another one I’d cut out. Again, disaster. The fabric was too heavy for the pattern, and it didn’t sit at all right. <\/div>\n

And now I’m out of yarn for Olivia. You’ll find me in the corner, tearing my hair out.<\/div>\n

A better thing that happened was the arrival of an etsy order. I’m a bit of an etsy addict, and I often find little things while I’m wandering around. These Scrabble Tile pendants are awesome!<\/div>\n
